Errol Teddy Mattera
Errol Teddy Mattera is an award-winning filmmaker who has been active in the industry for decades. Born in South Africa in 1963, he studied at the London International Film School and the Maurits Binger Film Institute in Amsterdam. He completed his Ph.D. (2021) through the London Film School and University of Exeter, with a thesis titled ‘Cinema from within: Interrogating Black identity and representation in South African cinema’. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Film and Television at Wits University in Johannesburg.
