Estefany DurAn-Fonseca
Estefany Duran-Fonseca graduated in 2020 in integral design and image management at University Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid), where she received an education as designer in different areas and disciplines, such as graphic, interior, product and branding design, among others. She has participated in several virtual reality research projects, focusing on the field of immersive stories. Among these projects, we highlight Leonarda: An Immersive Story (2020), a virtual reality (VR) short film that has served as background for her master’s final project. Professionally, she has worked at Espacio XR from AppDate, located at the Telefonica Foundation Building (Madrid), where several VR experiences are exhibited. She has also specialized in user experience (UX) in VR and founded Cuarta Pared VR (2021), the first company of immersive theatre in Spain, where she is working on projects related to VR narrative and theatre. Since then, she has participated as speaker in several workshops and VR international conferences. At the moment, she is working on experimental projects related to VR narrative.
