Esther Romeyn
Esther Romeyn is an associate lecturer in the Center for European Studies at the University of Florida. She is the author of Street Scenes: Staging the Self in Immigrant New York, 1880–1924 (University of Minnesota, 2008). Her current work focuses on migration, urbanity and identity, the place of Holocaust memory in discourses on migration and refugees, and the entangled histories of Jews, Muslims and other migrants in Europe. She has published articles on these topics in Citizenship Studies, Studies in European Cinema, European Journal of Cultural Studies, Patterns of Prejudice and Theory, Culture, and Society.
