Eva-Maria Troelenberg
Eva-Maria Troelenberg is chair for modern and contemporary Art History at Utrecht University. From 2011–18 she was head of the Max-Planck-Research-Group ‘Objects in the Contact Zone – The Cross-Cultural Lives of Things’ at Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence – Max-Planck-Institute. Her main field of interest is the history of transcultural exchange in art and visual culture since the 1800s, with a particular focus on the interrelation between the Eastern Mediterranean and the West.
