Eva Wijers
Visual artist Eva Wijers creates drawings and animations with a philosophical focus. She analyses human behaviour in crisp imagery in which form and content are inseparable. Wijers completed the master’s of animation with honours in 2018 with her 2D animated film, Humanoid, and the thesis ‘Emersive storytelling’ (AKV St. Joost Master Institute, Netherlands). Ten years prior, she graduated from the bachelor of fine arts at the same academy with the awarded fiction film installation, As If. Previously, she has worked in animation, illustration and installation art, and has had several group and solo exhibitions. Currently she is guest tutor in research on the master’s of animation at the Master Institute of Visual Cultures - AKV St. Joost, and is also working on a new independent animation project.
