Evan Blackwell
Evan Blackwell (they/them/theirs) completed their MA in art museum education and their BA in art history and queer studies from the University of North Texas where they now work in the College of Visual Arts and Design. Their academic work focuses on intersectional analysis of audience interpretation vs. artist intent as expressed in contemporary queer Indigenous portrait photographers’ works and how to successfully include culturally layered artworks within educational art spaces.
