Evan Thomas
Evan Thomas is an assistant professor of English and Humanities at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, SD. Thomas specializes in image-text narrative from the early modern period to the present. His publications include ‘What else is a comic?’ in the Oxford Handbook of Comic Book Studies (Oxford University Press, 2019) and ‘A renaissance for comics studies’ in Partial Answers (2015). He is currently working on a book manuscript about the development of symbolic machines and automatic art.
