Eveliina Lyytinen

Eveliina Lyytinen’s research and expertise cover a broad range of themes related to asylum seeking and forced migration. She has studied the protection of urban refugees as her doctoral research at the University of Oxford and the employment of young people with refugee background as her postdoctoral study. Currently she is conducting research on asylum seekers’ deportability as part of her research project ‘Action-Oriented Research on Asylum Seekers’ Deportability’ (ARADE, 2018–22) funded by the Academy of Finland. Lyytinen is particularly interested in the integration of concepts of human geography into refugee research, in qualitative research and in participatory methods.
