Fadi G. Haddad
Through a diverse experience across the filmmaking field since 2010, Fadi G. Haddad has worked as a creative producer, screenwriter, director and editor for several short and feature films. His award-winning debut feature film as a writer and director, When Monaliza Smiled (2012), was selected in international film festivals around the world and released in Jordanian theatres and on Arab television. He is an assistant professor of production and storytelling at the American University in Dubai (UAE) and a Ph.D. researcher in film and visual culture at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). His doctoral research is focused on Arab television, in particular story development and screenwriting practices of transnational television series, in relation to national and cultural identity combining research on texts, production and reception.
