Feng Boyi
Feng Boyi was born in Beijing in 1960. He graduated from the History Department of Capital Normal University in 1984. One of the most active independent curators and critics in China, Feng concurrently works as a researcher in the Research Institute of Art Sociology based in Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. He was the art director of the He Xiangning Art Museum between 2007 and 2017 and won the Annual Curator Prize in the 12th ACC Art China in 2018. Since the late 1980s, he has devoted himself to the curation, criticism and editing of contemporary Chinese art, paying attention to the marginal, alternative artists and groups, as well as the living state and the experimental and critical creation of the younger generation of artists. He has produced numerous articles, theses and essays and curated many important exhibitions in China and abroad.
