Fiona Noble is a lecturer in Spanish and Latin American studies at the University of Stirling. Her book, Subversive Spanish Cinema: The Politics of Performance (Bloomsbury, 2020), interrogates the diverse ways in which various Spanish filmmakers politicize performance in their works. Her current research encompasses two key strands: a monograph on Fernando León de Aranoa; and a project on intersections amongst gender and sound in contemporary Spanish audio-visual cultures.
