Flora Dunster
Flora Dunster is associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins. Her research centres on queer and feminist British art during the 1980s and 1990s, and she completed a CHASE/AHRC-funded Ph.D. at the University of Sussex. Recent publications can be found in Third Text and the volume Resist, Organize Build: Feminist and Queer Activism in Britain and the United States during the Long 1980s (SUNY Press, 2022). With Theo Gordon, she is author of Photography: A Queer History (Octopus/Ilex, 2023). A Special Issue of British Art Studies on the topic of ‘Queer Art in Britain since the 1980s’, co-edited with Fiona Anderson, Theo Gordon and Laura Guy, is forthcoming in 2024. She is currently finishing a book on the photography of Tessa Boffin and Del LaGrace Volcano, which is forthcoming.
