Francisco Sierra Caballero

Sierra is a tenured professor of communication and the director of the Interdisciplinary Communication Studies Group at the University of Seville. An expert in communication policies, new technologies and citizen participation of the European Commission, he has been president of the Latin Union of the Political Economy of Information, Communication and Culture, director general of the International Centre for Higher Communication Studies for Latin America and president of the Latin American Confederation of Scientific and Academic Associations of Communication. He is currently the director of the communication and culture section of the Marxist Researchers’ Foundation.
