Frans Melissen
Frans Melissen (Ph.D.) is a professor of sustainable business models at the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands. His research focuses on the link between sustainable development and human behaviour, with special emphasis on mitigating the so-called social dilemma by means of sustainable business models. Frans has authored and co-authored a number of papers in refereed journals, and has (co-)edited and (co-)authored (chapters in) various (text)books. His work includes papers on sustainable hospitality, researchers’ behaviour in relation to promoting sustainable development and CSR, as well as textbooks on hospitality experiences and sustainable customer experience design. Frans is also the Scientific Director of the JPI Urban Europe research project Smart City Hospitality (SCHITHOS).
