Fredrik Leijonhufvud
Fredrik Leijonhufvud is a boatbuilder with experience in documenting and reconstructing boats and is affiliated to the Department of Conservation, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. In his work as a boatbuilding teacher in Stockholm, he has taught Nordic clinker boat traditions, especially Swedish clinker boatbuilding. In his Ph.D. project, he investigates to what extent interpretation of old boats can revive the craft knowledge and skills of a broken boatbuilding tradition. He has participated in the work of nominating Nordic clinker boat traditions to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
