Gabrielle Miller

Gabrielle Miller is an assistant professor of Spanish at Baylor University (United States). She researches cultural and literary representations of femininity in modern Spain. Drawing from feminist theories, age and disability studies, and original archival research, her work centres on topics like motherhood, prostitution and feminine ageing. She has published articles in journals such as Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, Hispanic Review, Decimonónica and Romance Notes and is currently assistant editor of Anales Galdosianos. At present, she is writing a monograph tentatively titled, Ageing into Agency: Spinsters, Sanctimonious Women, and Witches in Nineteenth-Century Spain.
