Garry Barker

Garry Barker is a lecturer at Leeds Arts University and is a member of the university’s ‘Thing Power’ Special Interest Research Group. He makes large-scale narrative drawings as well as producing animations, ceramics, textiles and prints, all of which are designed to develop visual narratives in relation to conversations between people and people, objects and people as well as objects and objects. He regards his practice as a way of exploring what rubs off one thing as it encounters another, be this animal, vegetable or mineral.
