Gavin F. Hurley
Gavin F. Hurley, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of composition at Ave Maria University (United States) where he teaches writing, rhetoric, journalism and supernatural literature. His scholarship has appeared in academic journals such as Journal for the History of Rhetoric, Journal of Communication and Religion and Metal Music Studies. He has published essays on media and the rhetoric of horror for essay collections including Virtual Dark Tourism: Ghost Roads (Palgrave, 2018), The Spaces and Places of Horror (Vernon, 2019) and Horror Literature from Gothic to Postmodern: Critical Essays (McFarland, 2020). Dr Hurley is member of the Rhetoric Society of America and the Horror Writer’s Association.
