George Byrne
George Byrne is in the final year of an ESRC Ph.D. studentship in anthropology of development at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. He holds an M.Sc. in social research methods, an MA in international relations and European studies, and a BA in Latin American developments studies and Spanish. George’s doctoral thesis is based on long-term, multi-sited ethnographic research conducted in Ecuador, Peru and France, and focuses on the relationship between Indigenous Peoples’ identities and climate change mitigation strategies in the Amazon rainforest.
