Gerald Davies

Gerry Davies is senior lecturer in Drawing at the Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Art, Lancaster University. A graduate of sculpture from Wolverhampton University and the Painting School of the Royal College of Art, London, he was a Fulbright Scholar at Purdue University, USA, where he focused on printmaking. Throughout drawing was fundamental and his work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in solos shows and group and national survey exhibitions. In 2010, he was the inaugural Artist in Residence at The Centre for Drawing at the National Art School, Sydney. More recently, in 2017 he exhibited Flood Story, a new sequence of ecological drawings at Drawing Projects UK. He lives and works in Lancaster, Lancashire.
