Giacomo Tagliani
Giacomo Tagliani is currently an Adjunct Faculty at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti of Milan, member of the scientific board of the Centro Studi ‘Omar Calabrese’ and member of the editorial board of the journal Carte Semiotiche. Rivista internazionale di semiotica e teoria dell’immagine and the blog Lavoro Culturale. He has been visiting scholar at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales of Paris and at the California Institute of the Arts (Calarts) of Valencia (Los Angeles County). He is the co-editor with R. Guerrini and F. Zucconi of Lo spazio del reale nel cinema italiano contemporaneo (Le Mani 2009), and has published essays and articles about political cinema, contemporary biopic, cinema and the otherness in journals such as Fata Morgana. Quadrimestrale di cinema e visioni, TiConTre and the Journal of Italian Cinema and Media Studies. His most recent publication is the book Homeland. Paura e sicurezza nella guerra al terrore (Edizioni Estemporanee, 2016).
