Gisela Febel
Gisela Febel is an emeritus professor of Romance literatures and cultural theory at the University of Bremen, Germany, and founding member and ancient director of the Institute of Postcolonial and Transcultural Studies (INPUTS) and the interdisciplinary research platform Worlds of Contradiction (WOC). Her research focuses on postcolonial and francophone literatures, diaspora studies, contemporary novels and poetry, literatures of the early modern period, theories of modernity, the relations of literature and philosophy, cinema studies and the study of intermedial links between text and image, transcultural studies and transmedia questions of aesthetics.
