Giulia Taurino

Giulia Taurino is a media scholar and digital humanist. Since September 2019, she is a research affiliate at metaLAB (at) Harvard. She works at the intersection of internet studies, digital humanities and knowledge design. Her most recent projects investigate the epistemology of digital databases and the role of online platforms in shaping cultural dynamics at different scales. Formerly, Giulia was a visiting research fellow at Brown University’s Virtual Humanities Lab. She holds a Ph.D. in media studies and visual arts from the University of Bologna (Italy) and University of Montreal (Canada).
