Giusy Caruso
Giusy Caruso is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated to IPEM (Ghent University) and LaM (Laboratoire de Musicologie Bruxelles). She holds a Ph.D. in arts (music), MA degrees in piano performance and philosophy, and post-master in contemporary music and teacher certificate (piano, ensemble). Under the areas of systematic musicology and embodied music cognition, her Ph.D. research focused on music performance analysis and artistic research with a method grounded on the use of ‘technology-enhanced mirror’. Renowned interpreter of contemporary music and rewarded by important institutions, she is pursuing her concert activity throughout Europe, Asia, Russia and America. She is a visiting professor in music performance analysis and technology at the London Performing Academy of Music.
