Gloria J. Wilson
Gloria J. Wilson is faculty in the department of art education at Virginia Commonwealth University. A Fulbright recipient, Dr. Wilson has presented her research nationally and internationally, highlighting the intersections of race and arts participation. She has presented workshops for Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Project Zero and has been an invited artist/researcher for Spelman College’s Museum of Art BLACK BOX series. Her current research interests include critical arts-based educational approaches, and she is inspired by and committed to addressing the social and political role of visual culture in affecting systemic inequities and structural oppression.
