Gregory Blair

Originally from Red Deer in Canada, Greg Blair is an artist, writer, educator and activist who resides in Evansville, Indiana with his wife and two children. Blair is an assistant professor of art and design at the University of Southern Indiana where he teaches digital design, contemporary art history and gender studies courses. Blair’s scholarly research and artwork intentionally intertwine various forms of writing, publishing, zines, sculpture, photography, sound art, earth art, installation and video. All of these assorted activities are grounded in the exploration and understanding of context, place and the (mis)perceptions associated with each one. Blair’s latest book project, The Politics of Spatial Transgressions in the Arts, was published in 2021 by Palgrave Macmillan. His writings have additionally been published in Arts Magazine, The Journal of Art for Life, Echo: A Music-Centered Journal and Kapsula Magazine. Blair has also had the good fortune to hang out with the Guerrilla Girls for an entire day.
