Hannie Lawlor

Hannie Lawlor is a departmental lecturer in Spanish at Lincoln College and Jesus College, University of Oxford. She completed her Ph.D. in Spanish and French women’s life writing at Wolfson College, Oxford, in 2020, under the supervision of Dr Daniela Omlor and Professor Marie-Chantal Killeen. Her comparative thesis, ‘Balancing acts?’, focused on intergenerational stories written in response to traumatic loss, and on the connections that emerge between the twenty-first-century autobiographical practices of women authors in France and Spain. She is co-editor of the volume The Autofictional: Approaches, Affordances, Forms (Palgrave Studies in Life Writing, 2022).
