Hauke Kuhlmann
Hauke Kuhlmann studied modern German literature and philosophy at the University of Bremen, where he received his doctorate with a thesis on Goethe’s novel Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre. He teaches modern German literature and literary theory there, is currently a student advisor and is working as a postdoctoral researcher on poetry between 1880 and 1950. He has published on Goethe’s work, on philosophy around 1800, on nineteenth-century aesthetics, on Conrad Ferdinand Meyer and on contemporary literature. He is interested in the relationship between philosophy and literature, the history of fairy tales and, more recently, in video game studies.
