Heike Schänzel
Heike Schänzel is an associate professor and academic lead of the Ph.D. programme in the School of Hospitality and Tourism at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Her research interests include inter-generational relationships and well-being, childism and feminism, experiential aspects, social sustainability and social justice issues in tourism and hospitality. She is passionate about the more equitable facilitation of sociality and meaningful experiences within the context of tourism and hospitality. Heike is an associate editor for the Journal of Tourism Futures and has co-edited books, Femininities in the Field (Channel View, 2018) and Masculinities in the Field (Channel View, 2021).
