Helen M. Whall is professor emerita at the College of the Holy Cross. She is a former reviews editor for Theatre Journal and author of the monograph To Instruct and Delight: Didactic Method in Five Tudor Dramas, various essays on Shakespeare, modern drama, and Shakespeare in modern drama as well as numerous programme notes. She was guest editor for the Shakespeare Issue of Interface, the international journal of word and image.
