Helen Pleasance
Dr Helen Pleasance teaches creative writing and English literature at York St John University. Her research interests include contemporary fiction and creative non-fiction in all its forms, especially memoir, biography and true crime. She has published on memoir as a form, biographical representations of Myra Hindley and narrative accounts of the Moors murders. She is currently writing a novel with a country and western soundtrack and researching a project that combines textile and textual histories.
