Helen Walter

Helen Walter completed her Ph.D. in the History of Design at the Royal College of Art and Victoria & Albert Museum, looking at performance and the construction of identity, as framed through dress and the body, in images of Actor-Managers from the late nineteenth century. She is currently an Associate Lecturer in Design Cultures at the University of Plymouth, and also teaches on the Fashion Journalism course at the University for the Creative Arts, as well as helping with collections management at the Blandford Fashion Museum.
