Helena C. Buescu
Helena C. Buescu is a professor of comparative literature at the University of Lisbon, where she founded and directed the Centre for Comparative Studies. Her main research areas are comparative literature and world literature. She regularly collaborates with universities in Europe, Brazil and United States. She has authored and co-authored several books and has published, between 2018 and 2021, the Comparative World Literature Anthology in Portuguese (six vols, Tinta-da-China). She is a long-life member of St. John’s College (Cambridge University), of Academia Europaea, and of Academia das Ciências (Lisbon), and an evaluator of scientific European panels.
