Hélène Caune

Hélène Caune is a lecturer in political science at Sciences Po Grenoble, Université Grenoble Alpes, and is a member of the French Political Science Association. Her research interests include European integration, public policies and social policies. Her research focuses on relations between the European Union and its member states, the changes in welfare cover and the influence of public policy on the preferences and behaviour of citizens. She has a Ph.D. from Sciences Po Paris that analysed changes in welfare systems in a European context. She has worked on welfare changes and employment policies as part of the Reconciling Work and Welfare in Europe (RECWOWE) network of excellence (6th EU Framework Programme). She was a postdoc at Milan University, joining a European Research Council project led by Maurizio Ferrera that focused on the prospects of reconciling social and economic Europe (REScEU). She is currently conducting research on local food policies and their acceptance by citizens. Her recent publications include ‘French employment policy in an era of austerity’ in S.
