Helle Jørgensen
Helle Jørgensen is a lecturer at the Ironbridge Centre for Heritage, University of Birmingham. Her research is concerned with colonial heritage, historicity, social memory, postcolonial imaginaries, transnational relations, tourism and urban development in India and has focused on the uses of Indo-French and Indo-Danish colonial legacies. Her articles have inter alia appeared in History and Memory, Annals of Tourism Research and Heritage and Society. She is the author of Tranquebar – Whose History? Transnational Cultural Heritage in a Former Danish Trading Colony in South India (Orient Blackswan, 2014).
