Herb L. Fondevilla, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the School of Cultural and Creative Studies at Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan. Her research interests include Japanese visual culture, community-based art projects and initiatives, and how Japanese popular culture is interpreted outside of Japan.
