Hing Tsang
Hing Tsang is a filmmaker and teacher at the University of Suffolk. He is the author of Semiotics and Documentary: The Living Sign in the Cinema (Mouton de Gruyter, 2013). This book applies Peircean sign theory to the work of Jon Jost, van der Keuken and Rithy Panh. He has previously published in journals and books on the work of van der Keuken and Jon Jost. His research interests include American pragmatism, sign theory, bio-semiotics, visual anthropology and Asian film. He is also active as a practitioner and his work has been shown in film festivals across Europe and the Americas.
