Huang-Lan Su

Huang-Lan Su completed her Ph.D. in modern Chinese history at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at National Taitung University, Taiwan. Her research interests include ethnic identity, diaspora studies, translation and knowledge, and language and education. She is currently working on a book manuscript that explores the language culture and politics of identity construction from the mid-nineteenth through the late twentieth century in Taiwan.
