Işıl Çokuğraş
Işıl Çokuğraş is an associate professor in the Department of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University. Her major research interests include urban history, late Ottoman history, modernization, public space, and women architects. Her PhD dissertation was published by the Istanbul Research Institute in 2016 as Bekâr Odaları ve Meyhaneler: Osmanlı İstanbulu’nda Marjinalite ve Mekân (1789–1839) (Bachelor Rooms and Taverns: Marginality and Space in Ottoman Istanbul, 1789–1839). Her forthcoming book on Mualla Eyüboğlu’s archive, written in collaboration with İrem Gençer, is planned for publication.
