Ilgim Veryeri Alaca
Ilgım Veryeri Alaca is an assistant professor and an artist at Koç University, Department of Media and Visual Arts in Turkey. She obtained an MFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. from Hacettepe University. She contributed to The Routledge Companion to Picturebooks and The Routledge Companion to International Children’s Literature. Her articles appeared in Leonardo, International Journal of Education through Art and Drawing: Research, Theory, Practice. She wrote and illustrated the picturebook, A Winter’s Night (Bir Kış Gecesi). Her artworks are included in collections such as Butler Museum of American Art, Zimmerli Museum and Southern Graphics Council.
