Imed Ben Labidi
Imed Ben Labidi is associate professor at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. His research focuses on the circulation of racialized images, texts and Islamophobic practices which frame Muslims as civilizational and cultural antagonists of the West. His studies and single-authored articles on the racialization of Muslims, their vilification in the entertainment industry and the morphing of Islamophobia into an institutionally sanctioned anti-Muslim racism appeared globally in acknowledged and refereed journals such as Cultural Politics and the Journal of Muslims in Europe.
