Inês O. Gonçalves

Inês O. Gonçalves obtained a Ph.D. in physical activity and health in 2015 at Porto University – Faculty of Sports. She completed a master’s degree in physical activity and health in 2009 at Porto University – Faculty of Sports and a Bachelor in Sports and Physical Education in 2008 at Porto University – Faculty of Sports. She is an adjunct professor in Porto Polytechnique Institute – Education School. Her recent publications include: ‘Epidemiology of injuries and associated risk factors in 2022 Aerobic Gymnastics World Championship athletes’ in Science of Gymnastics Journal (2024); ‘Teachers’ perceptions about professional motivation and well-being: An actual perspective’ in International Journal of Education Economics and Development (2025); ‘Physical exercise positively modulates non-alcoholic teatohepatitis related hepatic endoplasmatic reticulum stress’ in Journal of Cellular Biochemistry (2022); and ‘Preventive and therapeutic potential of physical exercise in neurodegenerative diseases’ in Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (2021).
