Irina Armianu

Irina Armianu is an Assistant Professor of French in the Department of Literatures and Cultural Studies at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She graduated with a Ph.D. in French Studies from Rice University. Her interests include French thought, contemporary novel, film studies, and visual arts, women and gender studies. Other areas include postmodern topics on minority cultures and Francophone influence. She published ‘The Romanian dimension of existence and the French model’ in Romanian Review of Eurasian Studies (9: 2, 2015), ‘Kenizé Mourad and Early Middle Eastern Feminism’ in The Levantine Review (1: 2, autumn, 2012), and ‘Le cineaste Cocteau: une conception artistique au Carrefour de la littérature et des arts visuels’ in Studia Dramatica (51: 2, 2010).
