Iris Pikouli
Iris Pikouli is a doctoral candidate at the University of Bamberg, Germany. Her dissertation examines representations of the 2008 global financial crisis in US literature and film to show how the systemic crisis of capitalism has impacted women, the working class and ethnic minorities. She is the recipient of a Ph.D. scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation and of the Diversity Award of the German Association for American Studies.
