Isaac Blacksin
Isaac Blacksin is a Ph.D. candidate in the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a research affiliate at the American University of Beirut. Operating at the intersection of media anthropology and political theory, Isaac’s work explores war and militarism in the Middle East, the practice and poetics of mass media and the politics of knowledge. Isaac’s latest publication is ‘Violence, magic, certainty: A journalistic worlding’, in Geo-Spatiality in Asian and Oceanic Literature and Culture (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022).
