ISAK THORSEN

Isak Thorsen holds a Ph.D. in film studies and is a lecturer at the University of Copenhagen. He has published widely on Danish cinema. His book, Nordisk Films Kompagni 1906-1924: The Rise and Fall of the Polar Bear, was published by John Libbey in 2017. Thorsen has contributed to the anthology 100 Years of Nordisk Film (DFI, 2006), International Western Films: Re-locating the Frontier (Scarecrow Press, 2013) and written for journals such as Film History, Kintop, Scandinavian–Canadian Studies, Journal of Scandinavian Cinema and Kosmorama.
