Jack Shu
Jack Shu studied drama as education, performing arts and literature. He obtained his MA in drama education and cultural studies and Ph.D. from the University of Warwick and his MFA in drama (directing) at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Jack has been teaching drama at various levels and is now associate professor in the School of Education and Languages at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (formerly the Open University of Hong Kong). He authored (in Chinese) Applied Drama: The Praxis of Daily and Educational Drama (《應該用戲劇:戲劇的理論與教育實踐》); co-translated (into Chinese) Structuring Drama Work and Gavin Bolton: The Essential Writings; and co-edited Planting Trees of Drama for Global Vision in Local Knowledge: IDEA 2007 Congress Dialogues and The Journal of Drama and Theatre Education in Asia.
