Jaimie Isaac

Jaimie Isaac is a Winnipeg-based interdisciplinary curator and artist. She is of Anishnaabe and British heritage, member of Sagkeeng in Treaty 1 territory. Isaac holds a Masters of Arts from the University of British Columbia Okanagan on Indigenous Curatorial Praxis. Her undergraduate degree is in Art History from University of Winnipeg and an Arts and Cultural Management Certificate from University of Winnipeg Continuing Education. Isaac is presently the curator of Indigenous and Contemporary Art at the Winnipeg Art Gallery awarded by Canada Council for the Arts. Some recent exhibitions include We Are On Treaty Land, and Quayuktchigaewin: Making Good for the Winnipeg Art Gallery, co-curated The Ephemerals: Trending for Gallery 1C03, collaborated nationally on official denial (trade value in progress), written for The Land We Are Now: Writers and Artists Unsettle the Politics of Reconciliation and was co-faculty for the Wood Land School at Plug In Institute.
