Jake Hawkes

Jake Hawkes is a Ph.D. researcher at Central Saint Martins, focusing on the Americanization of London’s music subcultures in the 1980s, with specific focus on rockabilly and psychobilly. He has reviewed Kimberley Kattari’s Psychobilly: Subcultural Survival (Temple University Press, 2020) for the journal Punk & Post-Punk (2020), and is also a music, gaming and culture journalist writing for Dork, NME, Rolling Stone UK and others.
