James Leahy

James Leahy is a film historian and screenwriter. He was one of the founding editors of Vertigo, and now also writes regularly for Senses of Cinema. He co-wrote Ken McMullen’s feature 1871 (Cannes, Karlovy Vary and Edinburgh 1990). He is convinced his experience shooting documentary footage for Nicholas Ray in the winter of 1969–70 qualifies him for the title of the world’s worst sound-recordist.
